LEGIC is a flexible identification standard, based on contactless technology. Transmission takes place via 13.56 MHz frequency range. Data can be written contactless on a medium, e.g. a plastic card. The medium itself is passive and does not need its own energy source like batteries. 

LEGIC provides high-tech identification systems to enable access to  workplace, leisure and other installations, as well as the related services (multiapplications and total access). This system ensures maximal convenience and fraud protection. This technology has been developed by Kaba. LEGIC is an independent, world-wide active business unit of the Kaba Group.
