Mobile Data Collection takes place in applications for storage sections or for the recording of activities in services and health care. 

The spectrum reaches from simple barcode reading pens, that are designed as network-independent mobile terminal with integrated data and program memory, up to large high-performance mobile terminals for complex recording processes and detailed input procedures. 

Depending on complexity, different line displays and control keys are available. Data transfer and battery recharging takes place via vendor-specific charging stations.
