Verification

During verification a person’s biometric data is recorded at an enrollment station and transferred to a badge or key tag. During the read operation, the template recorded at the terminal is compared with the biometric reference data record stored on the medium (a 1:1 comparison). Only two data records are compared. If these two data records match within certain tolerance limits, the employee’s identity is verified.

Verification of identity - Is it him / her ? 1:1 comparison of two data records. PIN or badge is used for pre-selection.

Another advantage of this solution is that the employee’s biometric data is stored on the badge and employees are always in the possession of their data.

Kaba Benzing’s Verification Solution
The biometric data (336 bytes for 2 finger templates) is written onto the LEGIC medium IM1024. During entry, the biometric data on the card is compared with the employee's fingerprint (a 1:1 comparison). The finger templates are read via an enrollment station and then transferred to the LEGIC medium.
