The terminal is used in the collection of shop-floor production data, process and progress monitoring, order monitoring and feedback, for the collection of machine data, machine set-up times, attendance times and for workforce planning. 

For instance, piece numbers can be collected at the machine and transmitted to a higher-level system. Various applications are possible in connection with a workforce management system. These systems are based on the fast and simple recording of events and the feedback of started or completed activities or processing steps at the B-Net 95 60. Furthermore, it is equipped with two reader interfaces and a serial interface for the connection of peripheral devices such as scales.
