New Kaba B-Net 95 60 KFZ terminal for shop floor data collection in car garages 

With its new SFDC terminal B-Net 95 60 KFZ, Kaba has developed a customized terminal for VW and Audi dealers in particular. The new terminal is used in shop floor data collection and to record the attendance times of the employees in combination with the software package VAUDIS. The garage and assembly activities are seamlessly documented down to the minute; the work values to be charged are ready for invoicing once the job is reported as finished. Rapid analyses such as the degree of performance and the productivity supply precise data for the assessment of the commercial success. The new terminal is ‘plug compatible’ with the Kaba devices used up to now in more than 2,000 VAG workshops and the software in operation there, meaning that replacement can be done simply and quickly. 

The low-cost terminal has 20 functional keys, of which 15 are allocated for special recording procedures in the garage and are parameterized accordingly. Another 6 soft keys are available for special functions. The B-Net 95 60 KFZ is equipped with an Induc reader as a standard feature. Alternatively, the RFID system Legic can also be selected as a reading procedure for the badges. The garages can thus use this touch-free technology for other applications too such as, for instance, for access control and thus realize an ‘open stock’ conveniently and securely. Its robust design means that the garage is ideally suited for use in the workshop environment; even operation with gloves is not a problem.
