New SAP solution from Kaba even more user-friendly | ![]() |
Through the use of the new SAP interface and the integration of B-COMM Java, B-COMM ERP for SAP ERP 3.00 offers an even more user-friendly solution for access control, time recording and shop floor data collection. Through the consistent further development of the SAP interface, the new version 3.00 supports the latest communication technologies from SAP. This means that data can be exchanged via ALE/IDoc, XML and via XI technologies. In particular, the XI communication plays a pivotal role in the SAP NetWeaver world and is being increasingly used by large companies especially. However, Kaba is not producing new technologies only in the communication with SAP; the communication to the recording terminals of Kaba has also been re-developed. Thus, it has now become possible to encrypt the data transmission between the application and the Kaba terminals. Biometric data can now also be managed and distributed to the terminals. In the version 3.00, some add-ons have been given additional functions that offer the user further options. The ‘add-ons’ are small, additional modules for B-COMM ERP for use with SAP ERP, and they make life and work easier. They cover functions that are not provided within the SAP system, but are needed by companies in their daily operational processes. The enhancements include the introduction of an audit trail that logs all the activities of a user, a time-controlled remote door opening that determines when the doors are to be opened or locked for how long, and an enhanced terminal addressing. Through the support of multi-clients, addressing is freer and, in the case of several plants, coordination among users is not necessary. |
