New subterminal B-Net 91 05 for access control from Kaba

Subterminal B-Net 91 05

The new subterminal B-Net 91 05 in light-switch size shines in its new design, thanks in particular to the integrated light ring. It supplements the B-Net series and replaces the Bedanet 91 05 which was very successful on the market. Not only the design has changed; the functional and mechanical features have also been improved. Through the use of Legic advant - RFID technology, the application area of the B-Net 91 05 is significantly increased compared to its predecessors. A new circuit board production process underlines Kaba’s technology leadership. The advantage for our customers and the service/installation personnel lies in the improved connection technologies and the resulting greater storage space for the connection cables.

The Bedanet 91 05 subterminal serves only as a data entry terminal which transmits all information to the superior unit - an access manager or a control system - in a protected area. This unit then decides whether access is granted or denied. Because the subterminal in light-switch design does not have any active elements, it is secured against manipulations. It managers several customer numbers, thus facilitating simple stand-alone functions. The built-in relay can be used for door opening in secured areas. The new B-Net 91 05 supports not only the reading of the LEGIC prime and advant data carriers but also the reading of the unique numbers of ISO 14443 or 15693 media. The sub-terminal also offers the option of writing a LEGIC data carrier via a corresponding driver. Particularly with regard to the increasing number of virtually networked systems, where access rights are transported via the medium to non-networked active door components, this is becoming ever more important.

The subterminal B-Net 91 05 can be installed in standard 55-series flush-mounted sockets and integrated in the switch programs of leading manufacturers.
