This business area is devoted entirely to the burgeoning market segment of platform screen doors (PSDs) for metro systems: platform screen doors play a central role in controlling passenger flows, and enhance passenger comfort and safety as well as service capacity. The separation of platform from tracks permits higher arrival and departure speeds for the trains, thus shortening the overall stop time, and enabling service frequency to be increased. Further, the installation of full-height platform screen doors also allows better and more energy-efficient air conditioning in the station.
