Exit controlMany modern swimming and gym facilities make extra use of locker keys, wristbands or tokens as a medium for cashless payment in a number of other areas. Guests can leave their money in their locker and decide on the spur of the moment if they want to take advantage of any of the extra services on offer. Recommended solutionKaba developed the TPB-M01 exit control station especially for this purpose. It consists of an automatic tripod barrier with two special functions: key/token/wristband collection and automatic payment control. Before leaving the facility, visitors go to the exit control station with their means of payment. There is a clearly visible opening in the housing of the tripod barrier in which to drop the key or token. The software system checks the information stored on the chip and activates the release if valid. If the key or token is rejected (for instance when the permitted time has been exceeded) it is returned to the visitor, who can then pay the amount due.
