Kaba Gallenschütz continues to be present on the Eastern European market for stadiums – recently, the ice hockey arena in Omsk was equipped with access control installations made in Bühl.

The newly built Omsk Arena is home of the Russian ice hockey team Awanguard Omsk. Awanguard Omsk is one of the successful teams in the Russian Super League: In 2004, the team won the Russian championship. With the European Champions Cup, another title was won just in the following year, 2005. The Omsk Arena was inaugurated in 2007 and has a capacity of 10,000 seated places. The matches of Awanguard Omsk are usually sold out.

Kaba Gallenschütz equipped the Omsk-Arena with tripod barriers TPB-E01 in order to guarantee a regulated access control in the entrance area.

In the same period, another stadium in Podolsk near Moscow was equipped with physical access control systems from Kaba. In this case, the fullheight turnstiles FTS-L01 were installed.

The two projects in Omsk and Podolsk complete the already existing Kaba installations in Eastern Europe, such as the ice arena Mytischi (Russia) and the stadiums Timisoara (Romania) and Krakow (Poland) as well as the stadiums in Bucharest (Romania) and Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic), which were also equipped in 2007.
