Multiple prizes for unique TouchGo

A door fitted with a TouchGo lock will identify an authorized user and allow entry, if appropriate, in response to touch alone. This is made possible through the first ever use of RCID (Resistive Capacity Identification) technology. Awards:

  • Security Innovation Award (Gold) at Security 2008, Essen
  • Swiss Technology Award (Silver) at the Swiss Innovation Forum 2008, Basel
  • Merlion Award at Safety & Security Asia 2009, Singapore

reddot product design award 2011: honourable mention for time-recording terminal

The "reddot" is one of the world's most prestigious design prizes. Kaba received its commendation for the B-web 93 00 time-recording terminal, which boasts a modern design that fits in very well with contemporary architecture.

iF product design award 2011: four prizes

The internationally renowned iF Award is organized every year by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. in Hannover. In 2011, when more than 1,000 participants entered, Kaba submitted three innovative products, all of which won prizes. The jury were won over by the clear design and reduction to the essentials of the company's TouchGo key-fob, its latest digital cylinder and its compact reader. The digital cylinder won the iF Gold Award after the jury decided it was "a brilliantly simple and attractive product."
