With its Release 2.1, Kaba exos 9300 is venturing into a new dimension of access control. Based on the unique CardLink™ concept, the comprehensive electronic online access control system now also integrates Kaba elolegic standalone components – with the comfort of an online solution. In recent years, mechanical locking systems have increasingly been replaced by mechatronic/digital standalone solutions in areas with moderate safety requirements. In spite of their versatile advantages, these systems usually remained operated as isolated applications. The innovative CardLink™ concept now puts an end to this deficiency. Efficient system setup and administration Online and CardLink™ standalone components are set up from one and the same software interface, data entry is done once for all. No matter what types of access points involved, every day situations like data entry for new staff, access authorization changes, dealing with lost or forgotten authorization media, issue of visitor passes etc. are comfortably dealt with from the office desk. There is no more need for on site re-programming of standalone components. CardLink™ operation Thanks to the unique CardLink™ update mechanism, users simply pick up changed authorization data at an online reader and carry it along to the CardLink™ standalone component – on their authorization medium. Almost no staff training is required for routine use of the system. Enhanced security Using the integrated CardLink™ approach, long term data consistency is guaranteed for the whole installation. The system administrator is provided with the overview on all relevant system aspects such as staff data, access rights, lost cards, black lists, access data, logbooks, system modifications etc. at any given time. Lost or unauthorized media are locked out immediately on the online system and thanks to the Card- Link™ validation mechanism also on standalone components with minimum delay. This again is achieved without the reprogramming of standalone components. Lower initial investment - lower operational cost For each access point the customer now has a choice: the flexibility and security of online solution or the wireless and therefore quick and cost effective approach of a standalone component. Either way, each access point is seamlessly integrated using Kaba exos 9300 CardLink™. Protection of investment The CardLink™ concept is open for unlimited expansion, both with standalone - and online components. Further more the new CardLink™ components remain usable as true standalone components. Later upgrading to a CardLink™ system is possible. One authorization medium CardLink™ systems are operated using one personal LEGIC authorization medium (i.e. badge, Smartkey, key fob) only.
