Is this for you?

As a logistician, you will be active wherever goods are received, dispatched, forwarded, transported or stored. Modern technology will be a key part of your working environment. For example, computers will save the locations where materials are stored. Forklift trucks and other transport vehicles are important working aids for conveying goods to the correct storage locations, many of which are on high shelves. One of the vital points is that the customer is happy. It is therefore important that you handle the goods carefully and correctly and that you like contact with people.

Vocational school

Throughout all three years of your training, you will attend a vocational school once a week. Your main subjects there will include general education and professional studies. In addition, a specialist training day will be held once a month.

Your training course with us

You will work in a small team in the warehouse area, where you will become familiar with the diverse nature of warehouse logistics, and will focus on the following tasks: Placing goods into storage and retrieving them from storage, loading and unloading heavy goods vehicles, unpacking and distributing post and writing internal orders for the Electroplating department. In the second year of your course you will complete a two-month period of work experience in the Distribution Logistics department at Uster post office.
