You are interested in becoming familiar with new foods, tasting these and working with them. As a creative person, you like trying new things and are characterised by your attention to detail. You enjoy cooking and baking for yourself or others and you are pleased when your guests like your food.

Vocational school

Throughout all three years of your training, you will attend a vocational school one day a week. In addition to the subjects of Occupational Studies and Applied Mathematics, you will also study Language, Communication and Society.

Your training course with us

In the well-equipped kitchen of our staff restaurant, you will learn both how to prepare and issue menus of the day for a larger number of guests and to organise appropriate à la carte menus for VIPs. In addition, you will support the head chef on special occasions, for example with the annual anniversary meals, speciality weeks or when preparing an aperitif.

• Requirements: "A" or "B" secondary school, good English skills. You enjoy dealing with food.
• Duration: 3 years
• Award upon completion: Cook with Swiss Federal Certificate of Proficiency
