The new uniform EU Norms for equipping emergency exits differentiates between emergency exit doors (EN 179) and panic exit doors (EN 1125). A further substantial characteristic of the new EN requirements is the “tested unit”. Lock, door furniture and assembly accessories may only be tested, marked and installed as a unit.
